Ross K.W. Marceau

Dr Ross Marceau is a Senior Research Fellow at the Institute for Frontier Materials (IFM) at Deakin University. He also leads the Deakin Advanced Characterisation Facility located and administered within IFM. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Materials) obtained from The University of New South Wales in 2004, together with a PhD from The University of Sydney at the Australian Centre for Microscopy and Microanalysis. After completion of his PhD in 2008, Dr Marceau became a research associate of the Australian Research Council Centre of Excellence for Design in Light Metals at The University of Sydney (2008 - 2011), and following this he was awarded an Alexander von Humboldt Postdoctoral Fellowship to conduct research at the Max-Planck-Institut für Eisenforschung (Max Planck Institute for Iron Research) in Düsseldorf, Germany, prior to starting at Deakin University in July 2013.
