Debnath Ghosal

Debnath obtained his Masters degree from Tata Institute of Fundamental Research, Mumbai, India and subsequently completed his doctoral thesis with Dr. Jan Löwe at MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology, University of Cambridge. Currently, Debnath is a postdoctoral scholar in the laboratory of Prof. Grant Jensen at California Institute of Technology. His research interest lies in the intricacies of host-pathogen interaction. Debnath utilizes complimentary structural biology approaches including electron cryomicroscopy, electron cryotomography, X-ray crystallography and other biochemical methods to understand bacterial infection process at molecular resolution.
